Alexis Lucio (she/her/they/them) is a queer latinx from Southern California. By day, Alexis works as an Accessibility and Inclusive Design Lead at Splunk, ensuring that digital products can be used and enjoyed by users of all abilities, and is involved in employee resource group (ERG) development. By night, she engages with the queer community through drag, dance, and performance.
Kat Chiluiza is a Senior UX Researcher with a background in digital media, entertainment, cryptocurrency, and health. Her specialization is in kids and family digital products and services. With experience in user research and curriculum analysis and evaluation, she has previously worked at Nickelodeon, Televisa Foundation, and Sesame Workshop.
Kat has a BS in Human Development from Cornell University, and earned a MA in Cognitive Science from Columbia University.
Kat recently moved to the East Bay from NYC, where she was born and raised.
Cat Perez is the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at HealthSherpa, a tech company and team of people dedicated to helping individuals find quality, affordable health coverage under the Affordable Care Act. Since joining the team, Cat has led the company to over 3 million people enrolled, making HealthSherpa the #1 private enrollment platform behind HealthCare.gov. In 2013, Cat was awarded first place and received the $1 million prize in the Salesforce Hackathon in recognition of her simplified and user-friendly version of HealthCare.gov for iOS. As a queer Korican (Korean / Puerto Rican), Cat draws from her lived experience to design and implement Diversity & Inclusion initiatives internally with the team at HealthSherpa as well as within the product.
I am a tech recruiter at Netflix and I support the eng teams that build the adaptive streaming technologies, players, and platforms that power the UI that Netflix members watch. I also support hiring for the UI eng teams. Prior to Netflix I was at Uber, which is where I developed my gay latinx identity and used my lived experience to move onto their new diversity recruiting team. At Netflix, I heavily focus on diversity and inclusion in my role as a recruiter and as a leader of our Latinx ERG SOMOS.
Outside of work - I am from the Central Valley (Stockton, CA) and moved to San Francisco five years ago. Food, friends, fitness, adventure, hobbies and family about sums me up.
Abel Quintero is a creative technologist, working at the intersection of design, software engineering, and product management. With a background in Cognitive Science, he loves the cross-disciplinary nature of technology. He was born and raised in Chicago, educated in Los Angeles, and now resides in Portland.
Outside of work, he is a busy community organizer, leading the Portland chapters of Techqueria and Out in Tech, as well as serving on the Board of Q Center. He is also a musician and avid outdoor adventurer, taking advantage of the unbeatable natural beauty of the PNW.

I am a young professional and entrepreneur with a keen interest in organizational diversity and creating inclusive environments. Much of my work is centered around participatory governance structures and creating access to institutions and decision-making processes for under-served and underrepresented groups. I am a graduate of Cornell University, where I successfully completed a dual degree program, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Urban & Regional Studies from the College of Architecture, Art, & Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the College of Arts & Sciences. I also hold minors in Education with a focus on education administration and policy, and Law & Society.
Frances Coronel is a software engineer specializing in UI development on the Customer Acquisition Team at Slack where her mission is to make your working life simpler, more pleasant and more productive.
She has been working professionally as a developer since 2015 and has both a Bachelors's and Masters's in Computer Science.
Frances is also the Executive Director of Techqueria, a 501c3 nonprofit that serves the largest community for Latinx in Tech in the US and the host of Tech Queens, the first podcast that focuses on the stories and advice shared by women of color in tech.
Her passions outside of work include contributing to open-source, public speaking and mentoring other people of color in tech.
Raised as an American in Mexico, India is a self proclaimed ‘Mexigringa’, who is biracial, bicultural, bilingual and Queer. Her intersectionality bleeds into her work and life. India has an extensive background in Digital Marketing, Film, Product and Web Development.
India has been working in Tech in the People and Culture space, using her array of digital and creative talents to execute inclusive initiatives. Whether its planning events, inclusivity and diversity initiatives, tracking data to create action plans, or celebrating achievements with blog or social media posts. She is a multi-disciplinary, crafty, DYI’er who loves any excuse to throw some confetti. Proud LGBTQ+, passionate about creating more diverse workspaces. All to ultimately to the betterment of work and workspaces. ️
